Job summary

Estia Health in Hervey Bay is seeking a friendly kitchen team member who loves creating meals that residents enjoy. You’ll join a warm, supportive team and help deliver nutritious dishes in a busy aged care setting, with a focus on safety and quality.

Your day will include food preparation, serving, light cleaning, keeping records for the Food Safety Program, and contributing ideas to menu planning with residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus).
• Great time management and planning skills.
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Here’s what a typical day involves:

• Prepping food and drink
• Cleaning (including dishes) - you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one
• Changing up the menu. You'll work with our team and residents to create exciting meals that cater to every individual
• Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus)
• Great time management and planning skills
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course
