Job summary

Moran Health Care Group is seeking a motivated Food Services Assistant for our Moran Engadine home in southern Sydney. This permanent part-time position involves plating meals, assisting the Chef, and maintaining hygiene across shifts.

Join a friendly team in modern facilities, with opportunities to grow and develop within Moran’s supportive environment. Applicants must have a valid work permit, police check, and vaccination status as required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plating food at mealtimes.
• Preparing food under the direction of the Chef.
• Keep work area clean and ready for handover.
• Restock supplies and receive goods.
• Record temperatures and complete checklists.
• Maintain personal hygiene standards.
• Work as a member of the Food Services team.

About The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an efficient and professional permanent part time Food Services Assistant to join our Food Services Team at our Moran Engadine home, nested in a family oriented suburb in southern Sydney.

• Shift Schedule: Monday 11:00am to 19:00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 14:30pm to 19:00pm

You will work with driven and diverse people in modern facilities where you will be enabled to develop your skills.

You will work with a great team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents’ enjoyment of their life every day. Moran offers a rewarding work environment consisting of modern facilities and equipment.

We are looking for motivated individuals to join us for a casual opportunity.

Key Duties

• Plating food at mealtimes
• Preparing food under the direction of Chef
• Keeping your assigned work area clean ready for handover to the next shift
• Restocking supplies and receive goods
• Recording temperatures, complete checklists
• Maintaining personal hygiene standards
• Working as a member of the Food Services teams

Skills/Requirements

• Interested in food, nutrition, or general well-being and their benefits
• Interested in working as part of a team in a kitchen environment
• A person who takes pride in what they do
• Food Safety or Food Handling Certificate highly desirable
• Must have a valid work permit and a current police check
