Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking a casual Food Service Assistant to join our hospitality team on site. You will assist in daily food preparation, deliver and collect patient meals, and support function catering while upholding HACCP guidelines.

The role requires customer service focus, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. NSW Working with Children check and food handling training preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a similar role within a Hospital or Aged care environment.
• Completed Basic Food Handling Training (or working towards).
• Certificate III in Hospitality (or working towards).
• Authority to Work in Australia.
• Hold a valid NSW Working with Children check for Employment ('E').
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Commitment to service excellence.
• Strong communication and customer skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Work well independently and within a team.
• Available for a variety of shifts and on-call shifts.
