Job summary

Evolve Scientific in Sydney is seeking a current Food Science or Microbiology student to join a dairy manufacturer’s laboratory team. The role is 2 days per week (Mondays and Fridays) onsite in Southwest Sydney; a car is required due to the site location.

You will perform microbial analysis, operate Milkoscan, Delvo, Microfoss and a pH meter, and report results while maintaining the lab environment. Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook, plus strong attention to detail and teamwork are

Qualifications

• Current Food Science OR Microbiology student.
• Availability to work Mondays and Fridays.
• Access to car and license.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Microbial analysis of dairy samples (TPC, coliforms, microbial plating).
• Operate laboratory equipment (Milkoscan, Delvo, Microfoss, pH meter).
• Conduct packaging analysis (torque meter, diameter, weight).
• Record all results and elevate any issues.
• Reporting and analysis of results.
• Maintenance of the laboratory environment.

About the company/role:
Our client is a well-known dairy manufacturer based in Southwest Sydney. They are seeking a current Food Science student to join their laboratory team. This role will work 2 days per week on Mondays and Fridays. Due to the location of the site, a car is required for this role.
