Job summary

Springboard in Ballarat is seeking a Quality Coordinator on a max-term parental leave cover contract. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will implement and maintain the site's Food Safety and Quality Management System, collaborating with operations to embed strong quality practices.

You'll lead HACCP and related programs, coordinate internal GMP audits, manage customer complaints, allergen controls, and support certification standards such as BRCGS/SQF.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Food Technology, Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a quality role within food manufacturing.
• Experience with HACCP and GFSI-recognised standards such as BRCGS, SQF or equivalent, including supporting or managing site certification audits.
• Strong knowledge of GMP best practice.
• The communication and influencing skills to build effective relationships across operations and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and continuously improving food safety and quality systems, including HACCP, supporting programs, testing, traceability and mock recalls.
• Supporting ongoing requirements of BRCGS, RSPO, Halal, Kosher and customer standards.
• Coordinating internal systems and GMP audits, identifying gaps and supporting corrective actions through to closure.
• Driving food safety culture initiatives and coaching site teams on quality and food safety practices.
• Proactively managing customer complaints, investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Supporting allergen management, non-conforming product processes and product quality activities.
• Maintaining quality procedures, documentation and site records across Ballarat and West Footscray.
