Job summary

Tasty Fresh Food Co. is seeking additional staff for the afternoon Operations team in Ferntree Gully. You will help with fresh food production and warehouse duties, stocking lunch vans and ensuring items are packed and ready for the next day.

Hours are 20–25 per week across 3–5 shifts, typically 3–6 hours, with Sundays 1pm–7pm and other weekdays 3:30pm–7:30pm shifts. The role involves meat, dairy, nuts and gluten, plus handling smells and repetitive tasks. Safety and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Food production, bakery, pick packing or warehousing experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 15 kg and work in a cold room (3-9°C).
• Good attendance and reliability required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, label and pack fresh food and bakery products.
• Follow recipes, picking sheets and work instructions.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Pick and dispatch orders accurately, and receive and store stock.
• Complete general cleaning and basic computer tasks as required.

Hours and availability

• Fridays and Saturdays free!
• Sunday shifts rostered between 1pm-7pm
• Monday-Thursday shifts rostered between 3:30pm-7:30pm
• 20-25 hours per week across 3-5 shifts
• Shifts generally 3-6 hours

Commitment and reliability are essential. We need people we can count on to attend their rostered shifts, arrive on time and contribute throughout the shift.

What you'll do

• Prepare, portion, label and pack fresh food and bakery products
• Follow recipes, picking sheets and work instructions

• Complete general cleaning and basic computer tasks as required

You may work across Bakery, Production and Warehouse, depending on what's needed each shift.

About you

• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Able to safely carry out repetitive tasks and lift up to 15kg
• Comfortable working in a 3-9°C cold room when required
• Driver licence and reliable transport to get to and from rostered shifts

Experience in food production, bakery work, pick packing or warehousing is preferred.

Please note: The role requires handling meat, dairy, nuts and gluten products. Work involves strong food smells, repetitive tasks and working around conveyor belts.
