Job summary

Tasty Fresh Food Co is hiring for casual temporary crew in Newcastle. The role focuses on food production, packing and labeling, with training provided. Shifts are 24–38 hours per week, rostered across early starts between 3am and 2pm.

You will support in food production, bakery, and warehouse tasks as needed. Prior food experience is helpful but not essential. Applicants should be dependable, able to lift up to 15 kg, and comfortable working in cold storage areas.

Join Tasty Fresh Food Co.’s Cardiff team, helping prepare and pack fresh food for our lunch vans. You’ll work mainly in food production, with opportunities to assist in the warehouse and bakery as needed.

Food production experience is helpful, but we’ll provide full training if you’re reliable, willing to learn and ready to get involved.

Hours and benefits

• 24–38 hours per week across 3–5 shifts, depending on staffing requirements
• Shifts rostered between 3am and 2pm, with varying start and finish times
• Full training and support from the team

Availability for early starts and varying shift times is essential.

What you’ll do

• Prepare, portion, assemble, label and pack food products
• Follow recipes and work instructions
• Keep food preparation areas clean and follow food safety procedures
• Help with picking orders, stock handling and bakery duties when needed

About you

You’re dependable, enjoy practical work and take pride in getting the details right. You can follow instructions, work with others and get on with tasks independently.

You’ll also need:

• Reliable attendance and punctuality — your team counts on you
• Ability to safely lift up to 15kg and perform repetitive, active duties
• Willingness to work in cold storage areas at 3–9°C when required
• A driver licence and reliable transport for early starts

Food production, bakery, pick‑packing or warehouse experience is welcome, but not essential.

Please note: The role involves handling meat, dairy, nuts and gluten‑containing products, strong food smells and working around conveyor belts.
