Job summary

JBS Riverina Plant seeks a skilled Maintenance Fabrication Tradesperson to maintain and repair plant equipment, fabricate components, and keep the production facility running smoothly.

You will fabricate stainless steel and other metals, read drawings, and perform TIG/MIG and stick welding to high food-grade standards, while supporting mechanical fitting and maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in fabrication, welding or related field.
• Experience with stainless steel fabrication and welding.
• Ability to read engineered drawings and technical specs.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and install stainless steel and other metal components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Weld using TIG/MIG and stick processes to food-grade standards.
• Carry out repairs and modifications across fabrication projects.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to meet deadlines.
• Ensure safety, hygiene and quality compliance.
• Support mechanical fitting duties during staffing shortages.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Perform structural welds for strength and durability.
