Job summary

JBS Riverina Plant in New South Wales is seeking a Maintenance Fabrication Tradesperson to maintain and repair plant equipment, fabricate metal components, and keep production running smoothly.

You will read engineered drawings, perform TIG/MIG and stick welding to food-grade standards, and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams while upholding safety and quality standards. A trade qualification and experience in stainless steel fabrication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in stainless steel fabrication and welding across other metals.
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and specifications.
• Trade qualification in fabrication, welding or related field.
• Knowledge of fabrication techniques, finishing processes and best practices.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating, assembling and installing components in stainless steel and other materials.
• Interpreting drawings and specifications with precision.
• Perform TIG/MIG and stick welding, cutting and finishing to food-grade standards.
• Carry out small repairs and custom builds across fabrication projects.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to meet deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Support mechanical fitting duties when staffing is reduced.
• Execute structural welds for strength, durability and safety.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to reduce downtime.
