Job Description

Daydream Island Resort is seeking an energetic and service-focused Food & Beverage Supervisor to join the Graze Interactive Dining team on a part-time basis. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining service standards and leading the food and beverage team during allocated shifts.

Working in a fast-paced resort environment, the Food & Beverage Supervisor will lead by example, coordinate floor operations and ensure guests receive friendly, efficient and memorable service. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills and the ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervise and coordinate daily food and beverage service operations within Graze Interactive Dining.
• Lead, support and motivate team members to deliver consistently high standards of guest service.
• Allocate duties, manage shift briefings and ensure staff are well presented, informed and prepared for service.
• Provide hands‑on assistance across restaurant, bar and buffet service areas as required.
• Welcome guests, respond to enquiries and resolve service concerns professionally and promptly.
• Monitor service quality, guest satisfaction, cleanliness and presentation throughout each shift.
• Ensure all food and beverage offerings are displayed, replenished and served in accordance with venue standards.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of menus, beverage selections, dietary requirements, allergens and promotional offerings.
• Support team members with upselling opportunities and accurate point-of-sale procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling, reconciliation, stock checks and security procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, minimise wastage and communicate ordering or replenishment requirements to management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, responsible service of alcohol, workplace health and safety and resort policies.
• Address operational issues as they arise and elevate significant matters to the relevant manager.
• Assist with training, coaching and development of new and existing food and beverage team members.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen, front office and other resort departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment at all times.

This role requires availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, public holidays and evening shifts, in line with operational requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Previous supervisory experience in a food and beverage, restaurant, hotel or resort environment.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service standards, food safety requirements and responsible service of alcohol practices.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and support a diverse team in a fast-paced dining environment.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a genuine passion for creating memorable guest dining experiences.
• Experience coordinating daily service operations, including staff allocation, shift briefings, reservations and service flow.
• Ability to handle guest enquiries, feedback and concerns professionally, efficiently and with discretion.
• Sound understanding of point-of-sale systems, cash handling procedures and basic stock control.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across resort departments.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks during busy service periods.
• Flexibility to work a part-time roster, including weekends, public holidays and evenings as required.
• Ability to maintain high standards of personal presentation, cleanliness and workplace safety at all times.
