Job summary

Rydges Australia is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operation of our hotel outlets, including restaurant, bar, room service and events. This hands-on role focuses on delivering consistently excellent service while keeping the team productive and guest-focused.

You will supervise rostered shifts, coach casual and permanent staff, and step in on the floor during service. We value warm, friendly communication, strong product knowledge, and the ability to adapt to guests’

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an F&B supervisor role in hotels, bars or restaurants.
• Experience coaching and training teams and delivering great guest experiences.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

The F&B Supervisor leads the day-to-day operation of the hotel's food and beverage outlets including restaurant, bar, room service and/or events — ensuring guests receive consistently excellent service while the team operates efficiently, safely, and profitably. This is a hands-on leadership role: supervising rostered shifts, coaching casual and permanent staff, and stepping in on the floor during service.

• Previous experience in a F&B supervisor role or similar working in hotels, bars or restaurants.
• Experience managing and training teams, driver a strong team culture and driving a great guest experience.
• Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training will be provided).
• Warm, friendly and approachable manor.
• Great communication skills, flexibility and approachable.
• Be able to anticipate the guests need and be adaptable.
• Promote the venue and brand, maintain strong product knowledge, assist with training, supervision, and role allocation as required.
