Zusammenfassung

WorkSafe Victoria is seeking a highly organised Freedom of Information Officer to process FOI requests under the FOI Act 1982 and WorkSafe procedures. You will advise staff, management and the public on FOI requirements and support access under related acts to meet statutory obligations.

This full-time fixed-term role (until 17 January 2028) is Wadawurrung/Geelong based with a hybrid arrangement (3 days in the office per week). The salary is AU$102,747 plus 12% superannuation.

Qualifikationen

• Strong knowledge of FOI processes and statutory requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proficient IT skills and ability to manage complex information.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory frameworks confidently.

Aufgaben

• Process FOI applications under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and WorkSafe procedures.
• Advise staff, management and the public on FOI processes and legislative requirements.
• Assist with responses to the Victorian Information Commissioner and related reviews.
• Handle subpoenas and other notices; support record-keeping standards.
• Participate in continuous professional development to stay current on FOI law.
