Job summary

MidCoast Council is seeking an Education and Behaviour Change Lead for its FOGO program. You will design multi‑channel community education and engagement strategies, drive behaviour change, and coordinate with internal teams, community stakeholders and partners to deliver lasting environmental benefits across the MidCoast region.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in project management, communications, community engagement, sustainability, waste education or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in developing and leading community engagement, education or behaviour change programs.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deliver outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience planning and delivering face‑to‑face engagement activities.
• Leadership experience including coaching, mentoring and supporting staff through change.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a multi-channel FOGO community education, engagement and behaviour change program.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, reporting and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful implementation.
• Design and deliver community engagement activities including workshops, events, pop-ups and stakeholder briefings across the MidCoast region.
• Lead and support the FOGO Community Education Officer while using data and community insights to continuously improve outcomes.
