Job summary

Thiess is seeking a skilled FMS Technology & Communications Technician for Eva Copper Alliance in North West Queensland. You will develop and maintain Wi‑Fi, radio and wireless systems, support fleet monitoring, site telecommunications and autonomous networks, and work within a safety-focused maintenance team.

The role emphasizes on-site duties, rostering, and ongoing training, with the opportunity to advance within a major mining operation.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years industry experience with fleet monitoring systems and telecommunications.
• Proactive attitude to work as part of a world-class team.
• Strong interest in building a career with Thiess.

Responsibilities

• Develop, install and commission various Wi‑Fi, radio and wireless systems.
• Servicing, repair and maintenance of Fleet Monitoring Systems, site telecommunications and autonomous networks.
• Work safely and comply with Site Safety Health and Management System.
• Respond to breakdowns on site FMS and autonomous equipment and networks.
• Source technical information from manuals, bulletins and OEM systems.
• Maintain good housekeeping and maximise equipment utilisation.
• Conduct inspections to maximise utilisation.
