Job summary

Workforce Extensions is seeking a reliable General Labourer for a full-time, hands-on role in Melbourne. You will be involved in site preparation, material handling, and installation support within a family-owned, growth-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is hardworking, physically fit, and able to follow clear instructions under supervision. A current Australian driver’s licence, own vehicle, and work rights are required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Hardworking with a strong willingness to learn.
• Must have a valid Australian driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Willingness to obtain a National Police Check.
• Full, unrestricted work rights to work in Australia.
• Willingness to travel regionally about one week out of every three.

Responsibilities

• Site Preparation: Remove old flooring, sweep, and prepare subfloors for installation.
• Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport flooring products and tools.
• Installation Support: Assist with the fitting of various flooring materials.
• Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workspace and look after tools.
• General Duties: Complete ad-hoc labouring tasks as directed.

What You Will Bring

Experience: Previous experience as a general labourer (flooring experience is a bonus but not essential).

Licence & Transport: A valid Australian driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle.

Background Check: Must hold or be willing to obtain a National Police Check.

Travel: Willingness to undertake occasional regional travel (approximately one week out of every three).

Work Rights: Full, unrestricted legal rights to work in Australia.
