Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
OG Flooring on the Gold Coast is hiring experienced floor layers, floor finishers and team leaders for full-time roles. You’ll work across residential and commercial projects, with opportunities to lead jobs and coordinate crews.
We value craftsmanship, attention to detail and a collaborative team culture. A driver’s licence and White Card are required, with competitive pay and a supportive, family-style environment.
OG Flooring is a growing, family-run flooring business specialising in high-quality flooring installation and floor preparation across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern Rivers.
We’re built by floor layers, for floor layers. Our founder is an installer himself and is still regularly on the tools, so we understand the trade, the pressure that comes with it and the satisfaction of standing back at the end of a job and being genuinely proud of what you’ve created.
We care about doing exceptional work, but we also care about the people doing it. We’ve built a close-knit, family-style team where people are supported, hard work is recognised and work-life balance matters.
We want people who genuinely love flooring, take pride in their craft and want to work alongside others who feel the same way.
With a strong pipeline of work and the business continuing to grow, we’re looking for experienced people to join us across several levels, including:
Experienced Floor Layers / Floor Finishers
Senior Floor Layers
Team Leaders / Operations Manager
Whether you’re an exceptional installer who loves being on the tools or an experienced layer ready to take the next step into leading a team, there’s an opportunity to build a long-term career with OG Flooring.
You won’t be doing the same basic install every day.
Our projects range from everyday residential and commercial flooring through to high-end and technically detailed installations, giving our team the opportunity to work across different products, develop their skills and produce work they’re genuinely proud of.

Direct-stick engineered timber

Stairs and detailed finishing

Depending on your experience and position, your responsibilities may include:
Installing flooring to a high standard across residential and commercial projects

Preparing and assessing subfloors prior to installation
Grinding, levelling and completing general floor preparation
Checking moisture levels and identifying potential subfloor issues
Reading plans and understanding project requirements
Completing detailed timber, herringbone and feature installations
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
Working alongside other installers and trades to keep projects moving
Communicating professionally with clients, builders and the OG Flooring team
Taking ownership of the quality and finish of your work
For experienced Team Leaders, responsibilities will also include running jobs, coordinating installers, maintaining productivity and ensuring workmanship meets OG Flooring's standards.
Above everything else, we want good people who care about their work.
You take pride in what you do, notice the details and want the finished product to look right.
You’re someone who can problem-solve when things don’t go exactly to plan, work efficiently without sacrificing quality and be relied upon to get the job done.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Minimum 2–3 years' experience in flooring installation
Strong installation skills across one or more flooring systems
Experience with timber, hybrid, vinyl and/or laminate
Excellent attention to detail
Strong understanding of floor preparation and subfloor requirements
Good problem-solving and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
Current Australian Driver's Licence
White Card
Experience with direct-stick timber, hardwood, herringbone and detailed timber installations will be highly regarded.
Experience with self-levelling / flood coats is desirable but not essential.
Competitive full-time salary based on experience
Performance bonuses for senior/team leadership positions
Company vehicle
Tools provided
Consistent full-time work
Strong pipeline of projects
High-end and technically interesting installations
Opportunities to develop your skills and take on more responsibility
Genuine pathways into Team Leader and management positions
Supportive, family-style team environment
A business that understands the trade because it was built by an installer
Genuine focus on work-life balance
Long-term career opportunities as the business continues to grow
We want OG Flooring to be somewhere good floor layers actually want to work.
We want people who enjoy the trade, want to keep learning and get satisfaction from producing genuinely great work.
If you love flooring, take pride in your workmanship and want to work with a team that feels the same way, we’d love to hear from you.
