Job summary

RFDS – Newcastle NSW is recruiting Flight Nurses to deliver advanced nursing care across emergency retrievals and aeromedical missions in rural and remote Australia. You will hold current AHPRA RN registration, with at least five years in acute critical care, ALS, ventilator competency, and the ability to work with pilots and doctors in challenging environments.

FIFO, relocation support, and flexible rosters are available.

• Minimum of five years' postgraduate acute critical care nursing experience (Emergency, Intensive Care, or Cardiothoracic).
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Demonstrated ventilator competency.

About You

You're a confident and compassionate clinician with minimum 5 years critical care experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working autonomously. You bring strong critical care expertise, excellent clinical judgement and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

A minimum of five years' postgraduate acute critical care nursing experience in one or more of the following areas:

Emergency Nursing

Intensive Care Nursing

Cardiothoracic Nursing

Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification

Demonstrated ventilator competency
