Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service – Canberra ACT is seeking an experienced Flight Nurse to join our team. You will deliver high-level critical care in diverse environments, including emergency primary retrievals and aeromedical transfers, with autonomy and strong clinical judgement.

To be considered, you must have a minimum of five years in acute critical care nursing, current AHPRA Registered Nurse status, Advanced Life Support certification, and ventilator competency.

• Active AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

About You

You're a confident and compassionate clinician with minimum 5 years critical care experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working autonomously. You bring strong critical care expertise, excellent clinical judgement and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• A minimum of five years' postgraduate acute critical care nursing experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Emergency Nursing
• Intensive Care Nursing
• Cardiothoracic Nursing
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
• Demonstrated ventilator competency
