The Flight Data Coordinator (FDC) team plays a critical role in managing information delivered to various domestic computer systems and international Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs). In collaboration with key operational stakeholders, the team is responsible for managing live operational data and the real-time utilisation of various Air Traffic Services (ATS) systems within the National Airspace System (NAS).
The primary purpose of the Flight Data Coordinator role is to process operational air traffic information entering and leaving the Brisbane Air Traffic Services Centre (ATSC) that is not automatically processed by the Eurocat Air Traffic Management system.
The role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of live operational information within the NAS and other international air traffic systems. As such, it has a direct impact on aviation safety and operational administration, both internally and externally.
The Flight Data Coordinator operates within a 24/7 rotational shift environment and reports to a Service Lead, with operational reporting responsibilities to the duty Systems Supervisor.
You are a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. You enjoy solving complex problems, working with technology and systems, and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders. You can remain calm under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism when managing time-critical information.
Previous experience within aviation, air traffic management, defence, emergency services, transport operations, operations coordination, or other safety-critical environments will be highly regarded.
