Job summary

Ikon Institute of Australia invites passionate Social Work lecturers to join our Adelaide CBD campus on a sessional basis. You will deliver engaging, practice-oriented teaching, assess students, and contribute to subject development across morning, afternoon, and evening slots.

You may teach postgraduate courses depending on qualifications and timetable needs. You will work with a supportive academic team, reporting to the Head of School, and help ensure high-quality student outcomes in a

Qualifications

• Eligibility for AASW membership.
• Postgraduate qualification in social work or equivalent with ≥5 years of experience.
• Minimum 3 years social work practice.
• Knowledge of higher education requirements and AASW standards.
• Knowledge of contemporary social work teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Willingness to undergo a National Police and Working with Children check, if required.
• Lecturing, tutoring, and/or subject development experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and teach subjects per Ikon course documentation.
• Prepare engaging learning experiences and assess students within set timeframes.
• Contribute to development and improvement of teaching materials and learning design.
• Teach via on-campus and digital methodologies and the student learning system.
• Support student engagement and communicate issues to Ikon teams.
• Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders for cohesive delivery.
• Attend meetings and complete trimester teaching and learning reporting.
