Job summary

Ikon Institute of Australia in Brisbane seeks passionate social work lecturers for sessional appointments across morning, afternoon, and evening shifts at our Brisbane CBD campus. You will deliver engaging learning experiences, assess students, and contribute to subject development, with flexibility to teach across programs including postgraduate courses.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for AASW membership.
• Postgraduate qualification in social work or related discipline at least one AQF level above the course taught.
• Minimum of 3 years of social work practice experience.
• Knowledge of higher education requirements and AASW standards.
• Knowledge of contemporary social work teaching and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across on-campus and online modalities.
• Prepare engaging learning experiences aligned with Ikon's course documentation.
• Mark, assess, and provide timely feedback on student work.
• Contribute to subject development and learning design.
• Engage in subject reviews, moderation, and benchmarking activities.
• Adhere to Ikon's Academic Integrity policies and reporting requirements.
• Support student engagement and maintain attendance records.
