Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Mackay is seeking Registered Midwives to join our Maternity and Paediatric Unit, offering flexible arrangements from 0.6 FTE part-time to Full-Time, with a 24/7 rotating roster. We welcome applicants from across Australia and can provide relocation assistance and visa sponsorship for qualified international midwives.

Located in Mackay, our campus features modern facilities and a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional maternity care to families in the region.

Qualifications

• Hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Dual-qualified RN/RM is desirable for exceptional international applicants.
• Experience in birth suites and special care nursery with neonates 32 weeks gestation and above.
• Current life-support skills applicable to patient-centered care environment.
• Provide comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care and support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, compassionate care to patients within the Women Unit.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to meet individual needs.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and create personalized care plans.
• Undertake discharge planning with education, resources and community services access.
• Support and mentor colleagues and nursing students to foster growth.
