Job summary

NSW Health in St Leonards is seeking a Manager, Strategic Policy and Program Support to lead a team in developing, implementing and evaluating policies and programs for communicable diseases. You will provide expert policy and strategic advice on disease prevention, surveillance, investigation and control.

The role involves developing partnerships with Local Health Districts and NSW Government partners, presenting NSW Health positions at state and national levels, and delivering policy resources

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications in public health or related discipline.
• Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team and delegate effectively.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert policy and strategic advice on communicable disease prevention, investigation, management and control.
• Develop relationships and partnerships with Local Health Districts, NSW Government partners and other agencies.
• Develop and revise communicable disease management policies and program resources.
• Represent the NSW Health position on communicable diseases at Commonwealth and State levels.
