Job summary

G8 Education Ltd. is hiring a part-time Cook at First Grammar Freshwater in Queensland to prepare high-quality meals for up to 117 children daily. The role is 30 hours per week, contract ending 15 January 2027, with a focus on nutritious menus, food safety and budget-conscious kitchen operations.

You will manage menu planning, dietary requirements, stock control and work as part of a collaborative team to deliver safe, enjoyable meal experiences for children in our care.

Qualifications

• Experience planning menus, budgeting and controlling stock.
• Knowledge of dietary and allergy safety requirements.
• Experience keeping a kitchen clean and compliant with Food Safety regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Available for set shifts Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for up to 117 children daily.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen in line with regulations.
• Assist with menu planning and stock management to meet budgets.
