Job summary

Eyre and Far North Local Health Network is seeking a part-time Community Support Worker to deliver person-centred care under the Consumer Directed Care model across Coober Pedy. You will assist with personal care, meal prep, cleaning, transport and social support to aged, frail or disabled clients, helping them live independently at home or in residential facilities.

The role requires a Certificate III in Individual Support, a current driver’s licence, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or Home and Community) required.
• Current driver’s licence with reliable insured vehicle and willingness to drive as part of role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse participants and carers.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (showering, toileting, grooming, continence management).
• Carry out household tasks (cleaning, meal prep, laundry, minor gardening).
• Deliver social support (transport, shopping, mobility).
• Assist with self‑medication under clinical supervision.
• Work autonomously while collaborating with consumers, families and health professionals.
• Support clients with complex care needs at WHD4 level.
