Job summary

Breed Street Clinic in Traralgon is seeking a friendly medical receptionist to join our general practice team. You will greet patients, manage the reception, answer phones, book appointments and process Medicare billings with accuracy and care.

The role requires excellent communication, strong organisation and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. Casual hours with flexibility and additional shifts may be available to suit staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised, reliable and able to manage time in a busy general practice.
• Friendly, professional and patient-focused approach.
• Experience with medical software is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and managing the reception area
• Answering and directing phone calls
• Booking and managing patient appointments
• Processing Medicare billings and patient payments
• Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
• Scanning, filing and maintaining accurate patient records
• Liaising with doctors, nurses, specialists and other healthcare providers
• Providing general administrative support to the practice team
• Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
