City of Salisbury in South Australia seeks an experienced Inclusion Officer to drive disability access and inclusion across Council programs. You will implement, monitor and evaluate the DAIP while collaborating with teams to embed inclusive planning, services, and community engagement activities.

You will work with people with disability, families, carers and organisations to inform decision making, coordinate networks and develop partnerships for enhanced participation and social inclusion.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of disability legislation and inclusive practices.
• Experience across planning, projects or community engagement.
• Ability to engage diverse stakeholders and prepare reports.

Responsabilités

• Support the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the DAIP.
• Provide advice and practical support on disability access and inclusion.
• Promote inclusive practices across programs, services and projects.
• Engage with people with disability, families and organisations to inform planning.
• Coordinate and support the Salisbury Disability Access and Inclusion Network.
• Undertake research and analysis of emerging issues and best practice.
• Develop partnerships with community organisations and government agencies.
• Assist with programs and initiatives to improve participation and social inclusion.
• Contribute to advocacy and awareness initiatives for disability inclusion.
• Monitor project outcomes and prepare reports and documentation.
