Job summary

Mercy Health in Canberra is seeking a friendly Domestic Assistant on a casual basis to help clients live independently at home. You’ll assist with cleaning and laundry, bring reliability and warmth to the role, and contribute to a supportive home care team.

Qualifications

• You’re reliable, resilient and have a whole lot of heart. You are genuinely interested in supporting others and making a difference in your community.
• Certificate III in Home or Aged Care is advantageous, but not essential.
• Ability to support Home Care clients with domestic duties including cleaning and laundry.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A safe, sensible approach with an understanding of people’s physical limitations.
• Flexible and adaptable to meet clients’ individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance with cleaning and laundry to Home Care clients.
• Support clients to live independently at home with compassionate care.
• Work as part of a dedicated Home Care service team.
