Discover Nursing Australia is seeking friendly Disability Support Workers to join our Brisbane team on a contractor basis. You will support participants with community access, appointments, and social activities, helping them achieve NDIS goals.

Qualifications

• Active ABN or willingness to obtain one.
• Australian working rights.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current National Police Check.
• Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
• Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and You.
• A current driver's licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle, as community access support involves transporting participants to appointments and activities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting participants to attend appointments.
• Accompanying participants to cafés, shopping centres, parks, libraries, and community events.
• Assisting with grocery shopping and everyday errands.
• Supporting recreational activities, hobbies, and social outings.
• Encouraging confidence, independence, and social participation.
• Providing companionship and meaningful community engagement.
• Assisting participants to achieve their individual NDIS goals through person-centred support.
