Job summary

Respect Aged Care is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants for casual, shift-flexible work at Chaffey House in Merbein. You will provide person-centred care under the clinical team's guidance, supporting residents across morning, afternoon and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent.
• Availability to work across mornings, afternoons and nights.
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Genuine passion for aged care and improving residents' lives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care tailored to individual needs, preferences and care plans.
• Assist residents with meals, refreshments and daily living activities.
• Accurately document care activities and report changes to the care plan.
• Support meal planning by checking daily menu requirements.
• Carry out tasks delegated by Registered or Enrolled Nurses.
• Promote residents’ independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
• Work collaboratively with the broader care team to ensure continuity of care.
