Job summary

Sacred Heart in Victoria seeks dedicated Learning Support Officers to join our inclusive school community in a casual capacity. Hours vary based on personal availability and school needs, with potential for a transition to a more permanent position.

LSOs work with classroom teachers and support teams to ensure continuity of care and learning for all students, supporting learning, wellbeing and belonging in a Catholic school environment.

Qualifications

• Commitment to Catholic ethos and school policies.
• Ability to support diverse learning, wellbeing and personal care needs of students.
• Ability to follow ILPs, BSPs, and classroom adjustments.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Strong teamwork, communication and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Support Catholic identity and values of Sacred Heart.
• Assist students with diverse learning and wellbeing needs.
• Assist with personal care when required.
• Follow ILPs, BSPs, and classroom adjustments.
• Supervise students during learning, breaks and activities.
• Work flexibly across classrooms and year levels.
• Communicate and collaborate with staff.
• Demonstrate professionalism and commitment to child safety.
