Job summary

Essential Energy in Wagga Wagga is seeking a Fleet Technician to diagnose, maintain and repair fleet vehicles and plant machinery, including Elevated Work Platforms and Crane Borers, with both workshop and field-based duties.

You will work autonomously in the field or as part of a team, applying diagnostic skills and safety practices to meet regulatory and business standards. A trade qualification and current NSW licences are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have automotive trade background with practical diagnostic skills.
• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance across fleet assets.
• Ability to work in workshop and field-based settings with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostic testing and fault diagnosis to meet industry and regulatory requirements.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs, including welding, hydraulic and fabrication work.
• Undertake maintenance across fleet vehicles, plant and equipment and complete refits.
• Deliver field-based maintenance during planned and unplanned work.
• Assist with fit-out and inspection of new vehicles as required.
