Asquith Workforce is recruiting for two permanent Allocator – Scheduler to support a transport and logistics organisation in Queensland. This hands-on role coordinates people, vehicles and workloads, ensuring deliveries are scheduled safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Prior fleet vehicle or rail allocation experience is highly regarded.
• Experience using Translogix or another freight management system.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Excel proficiency.
• Strong communication with drivers, customers and stakeholders.
• Understanding of transport safety and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of fatigue management and weight management systems.
• Geographical understanding of the local area.
• Mechanical knowledge of heavy vehicles or rail is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritise and allocate daily fleet and rail workloads.
• Coordinate schedules to meet delivery timeframes.
• Reschedule workloads for operational changes.
• Manage driver availability and fatigue breaks.
• Coordinate subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Monitor fleet and rail utilisation.
• Maintain records, timesheets, kilometre logs and billing info.
• Enter data and maintain freight management system information.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement practical solutions.
• Provide high levels of customer service.
• Report incidents and communicate with stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement across transport operations.
• Ensure safety and compliance with Chain of Responsibility and Heavy Vehicle National Law.
• Support and supervise allocation staff as required.
