Job summary

Country Fire Authority (CFA) in Moe, Victoria, is seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic for a full-time, 12-month fixed-term role in the Moe workshop. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CFA appliances in a clean environment, with all tools, PPE, and a uniform provided.

Hours are 7:15am–4:15pm, Monday to Friday, with a 9‑day fortnight. As a Grade 1a District Mechanical Officer, you will ensure safety standards and CFA procedures are followed, keep accurate records, and

Qualifications

• Must hold a Motor Mechanic Qualification and a Heavy Rigid Licence.
• Ability to work safely at incident scenes and render assistance (First Aid L2) or obtain within CFA timeframes.
• Demonstrated teamwork and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and approved modifications on CFA fleet assets.
• Maintain CFA fleet assets per industry standards and CFA procedures.
• Create electronic Work Orders using CFA software and maintain accurate records.
• Liaise with Brigade members regarding proposed work and completed tasks.
• Report maintenance, administrative and technical matters to the Officer-in-Charge.
