Job summary

Ampol Limited is recruiting for a Depot Operations support role at the Toowoomba Depot. You will help ensure safe, efficient and compliant tanker fleet operations, supporting the Distribution Operations Coordinator and building strong driver relationships.

The role involves depot administration, regulatory compliance tasks and coordinating fleet movements across a multi‑depot region. Weekend scheduling and HSSE compliance are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Scheduling experience is desirable.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
• Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations (NHVR) and related legislation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the tanker fleet across multiple depots.
• Assist with depot administration, compliance activities and day‑to‑day processes.
• Coordinate fleet movements and provide information to drivers and stakeholders.
• Act as weekend/backup scheduler for the Fleet Supervisor.

About the role

An exciting opportunity to join the Ampol Petroleum Distributors team based at our Toowoomba Depot. Reporting to the Territory Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our tanker fleet and driver workforce across a multi-depot region. You will play a key role in fleet performance, regulatory compliance, while building strong relationships with drivers and key stakeholders to ensure the reliable delivery of our services.In addition, this role will provide supportto theDistribution Operations Coordinator (DOC) with the day-to-day operations of the depot, including depot administration, compliance activities and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Customer service & manage customer inventory
• Manage driver inductions, medicals and other administrative requirement
• Provide Operational information and directions to drivers
• Supporting the planning & coordinating fleet movements
• Manage administrative aspects of tanker truck compliance activities
• Act as weekend/backup/relief scheduler for the Fleet Supervisor
• Monitor HSSE processes and practices within depot
• Ensure that Ampol complies with all applicable laws and regulations

Qualification & Experience

• Scheduling experience is highly desirable but not essential
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously
• Understand of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and associated legislation is desirable (not essential)
