Job summary

Fortescue Iron Bridge project in Western Australia is seeking a Fixed Plant Fitter to maintain and optimise processing equipment, ensuring reliability and efficiency in a high-performing team. You will work within a safe, collaborative environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives at the site.

The role requires a Mechanical Fitter trade certificate, WA manual license, and experience with fixed plant processing, including pumps. SAP experience is advantageous for site tasks.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in mechanical fitting recognised in Australia.
• Experience on fixed plant processing environments.
• WA Manual Driver’s Licence required.
• SAP knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed plant assets to operational capacity while continually looking for opportunities to improve process efficiency.
• Perform maintenance activities across processing equipment, including pumps and associated fixed plant.
• Work in accordance with Fortescue’s Zero Harm principles, processes and procedures.

Location: Iron Bridge – Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project, located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people
Roster: 7 Days / 7 Nights / 14 Days Rest
As a Fixed Plant Fitter at Iron Bridge, you’ll play an important role in maintaining and optimising the processing equipment critical to our operations. You’ll help keep our assets operating efficiently and reliably while contributing to a safe, collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed plant assets to operational capacity while continually looking for opportunities to improve process efficiency.
• Perform maintenance activities across processing equipment, including pumps and associated fixed plant.
• Work in accordance with Fortescue’s Zero Harm principles, processes and procedures.
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with Fortescue’s Values.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues and shared team goals.

Qualifications And Experience

• Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate.
• Experience working in a fixed plant processing environment across dry and wet plant.
• WA Manual Driver’s License
• SAP experience -Advantage
• Experience and familiarity working with pumps.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A demonstrated ability to follow processes and procedures.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to safe, effective work.
