Job summary

Fortescue is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to perform day-to-day structural engineering tasks, including inspections, defect assessment, and reporting on fixed plant assets and non-process infrastructures at Hedland Operations.

The role covers review of drawings and calculations and design of non-complex structures, with an emphasis on mining-related fixed assets and balanced machines. Fortescue values safety and sustainable practices at site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Structural).
• Membership in Engineers Australia or equivalent.
• Holds or eligible for Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
• Holds WA C-class driver's license.

Fortescue is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer who will provide day to day structural engineering tasks including inspections, assessment and reporting of defects on fixed plant assets, non-process infrastructures and balanced machines, review of drawings and calculations and design of non-complex structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Substantial experience on structural design and analysis


• Knowledge of mining equipment and fixed plant assets


• Sound understanding of Asset Management in line with inspection of mining equipment and infrastructure such as balanced machines, fixed plant assets, and non-process infrastructures


• Knowledge of geotechnical and civil works

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Structural)


• Membership in distinguished engineering institutions such as Engineers Australia


• Holds or ability to obtain Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)


• Holds a valid Western Australia C-class driver’s license
