Job summary

CQUniversity Gladstone invites applications for a VET Teacher – Fitting and Machining. Bring your hands-on trade expertise to the classroom and workshop, training the Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade.

No teaching experience required as we provide a fully funded qualification and strong support. This permanent, full-time role offers 36.25 hours per week, a starting salary around $107,697 plus 17% super, and relocation assistance where needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
• Current hands-on industry experience in mechanical trade work, including fitting, machining, equipment maintenance and safe workshop practices.
• An interest in mentoring apprentices, sharing your knowledge and guiding learners in both workshop and classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training for apprentices in the workshop and classroom.
• Assist with assessment, documentation and student support.
• Contribute to the delivery of the Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade program.
