MRAEL and SWB in Smithfield, NSW are seeking an Apprentice Fitter Machinist to join their team for a full-time role commencing January 2026. You will train alongside tradesmen and engineers to become trade-qualified, under robust mentorship and industry-standard practices.

The position offers a competitive remuneration package with paid overtime, an early finish on Fridays, and a clear pathway to earning a Certificate III in Engineering: Mechanical Trade.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake apprenticeship and training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn on the job.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Must hold a current driver's licence.

Responsabilités

• Workshop-based mechanical repairs, including gearboxes, pumps and brakes.
• Dismantling, cleaning, assessing and measuring parts.
• Machining tasks using Lathe and Mill equipment.
• Maintaining and cleaning the workshop and equipment.
• Sand blasting and spray painting.
