Job summary

Hunter New England Health is seeking a skilled Fitter / Motor Mechanic to join Manning Base Hospital's Facilities Management team. You will provide mechanical support across the Lower Mid North Coast Sector Health Facilities, installing, maintaining and repairing fixtures and equipment with safety and reliability at the core.

This permanent full‑time role is 38 hours per week, requires a NSW Driver Licence and strong problem‑solving ability, with opportunities for development and a regional

Qualifications

• TAFE Trades Certificate in Fitting and Machining or Qualified Motor Mechanic.
• Current NSW Driver Licence.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical support across the Lower Mid North Coast Sector Health Facilities.
• Install, maintain and repair mechanical fixtures, fittings and equipment.
• Record work details, costs and time accurately using designated systems.
• Participate in overtime and on‑call rosters as required.
