Job summary

MCA Engineering invites applications for a 1st Year Fitter/Machinist Apprenticeship starting in 2027, based at our Parkes NSW Branch. You will train in our modern workshop and gain hands-on experience across mining and industrial projects under a strong safety-focused team.

During 2026 you can undertake work experience with MCA Engineering to prepare for your trade certificate and to meet the team, gaining practical skills before your apprenticeship begins.

• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople with workshop activities and mechanical fitting work
• Follow directions and complete tasks safely and to a high standard
• Learn and develop practical mechanical fitting skills
• Gain exposure to mining, mechanical and industrial projects
• Assist with assembly, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment
• Gain hands-on experience on project sites
