Job summary

Voyages Tourism Australia seeks a FIFO Fitter to live and work on-site at Ayers Rock Resort, Yulara, NT, just 20 minutes from Uluru.

You will bring Australian trade qualifications and strong knowledge of domestic and commercial gas appliances, boiler systems, controls and reticulation, supported by Plumbing and Gas Fitting qualifications and experience across both domestic and commercial environments.

Qualifications

• Qualified Fitter with Australian trade papers.
• Experience with domestic and commercial gas appliances, boilers, controls and reticulation.
• Plumbing and Gas Fitting qualifications essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out trade installations, maintenance and repairs as required by Technical Services.
• Attend trade construction, repairs and maintenance per schedule.
• Maintain records in Preventive Maintenance system.
• Ensure safe, productive work practices and accurate time sheets.
• Carry out preventative maintenance per manuals.

Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a FIFO Fitter to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.

We're seeking an experienced Fitter with Australian trade qualifications and sound knowledge of domestic and commercial gas appliances, boiler systems, controls, and reticulation systems, supported by Plumbing and Gas Fitting qualifications and experience in both domestic and commercial work environments. This role provides you with an opportunity to work on diverse equipment and infrastructure as our Technical Services team are the tradespeople of Yulara. You will have the opportunity to become a true specialist in the field as the closest contracting partner is 5 hours away!

We are extremely committed to the safety of our employees, guests and community who visit town, this also needs to be a strong focus of you too! As our town is spread across a large range of land, a Valid Australian Open Driver's License is required for all our trades roles.

Key Duties

• Carry out all trade related installations, maintenance and repairs as requested by the Technical Services Management Team in a trade’s person like manner.
• Attend to all trade related construction, repairs and maintenance as requested.
• Maintain accurately the records facility contained within the Preventive Maintenance schedule.
• Ensure efficient productive and safe work practices are applied and all records and time sheets are accurately maintained.
• Carry out all preventative maintenance as per the schedule laid down by the programmed maintenance manuals.
