Job summary

Tongala Nutrition Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support production at our Tongala site. You will manage pneumatic systems, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with project works in a collaborative, growing team.

You will work with production teams to improve reliability and efficiency, uphold OHS and GMP guidelines, and tackle technical challenges in a dairy processing environment with modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification with experience in pharma, beverages, food or FMCG.
• Experience using CMMS systems.
• Hands-on with an enthusiastic attitude and team focus.
• Take initiative, work independently and contribute to a motivated team.
• Strong problem-solving skills with focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support the smooth and efficient daily operations of Production
• Maintenance of plant and equipment including Preventative maintenance
• Strong diagnostics and fault-finding skills
• Continuous improvement of plant and equipment
• Competent sanitary TIG welding
• Foster a supportive team environment by helping colleagues and sharing knowledge
• Provide technical support to the production team
• Promote and adhere to Quality, OHS, GMP and HACCP guidelines
• Assist with operation of plant utilities (Refrigeration, air, water treatment and Steam Boilers)

Job description

As part of our new and rapidly expanding business, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations across all our production lines and site services. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to managing and maintaining pneumatic systems, performing routine preventative maintenance, maintaining inventory in the store system, support ongoing project works and work closely with the production teams to maintain line efficacies. The role also focuses on implementing system improvements and tackling technical challenges to enhance reliability and efficiency. You will be working within a small, tight-knit team, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues in a supportive and hands-on environment. Key responsibilities

About you

• Solid understanding and experience of manufacturing equipment and processes
• Trade Qualified with experience in a similar role in pharma, beverages, food or FMCG
• Experience using CMMS systems
• Hands on with an enthusiastic attitude with a strong team focus mindset
• Take initiative, work independently, and contribute to a dynamic and motivated team
• Skilled at managing multiple priorities simultaneously while remaining composed under pressure
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability
• Forklift license is an advantage
