Job summary

Responsibilities

• Measure, compute and plan Engineering tasks using OEM software.

Our Client: Our client Krisnah Pty Ltd (KPL) ABN: 66 656 198 542 & ACN: 656 198 542 is in transportation, logistics & warehousing industry. They have fleet of Heavy commercial vehicle, forklifts, access and hydraulic equipment.

The business has in-house repair and maintenance facility for its fleet. Due to the business growth and expansion plans, we are now looking to recruit one Fitter on a permanent full-time basis for our client. Job Title: Fitter Reporting to: Operations Manager

No. of positions: 01 Offered salary range: AUD $75,000 - $82,000 base + Super (for a 38-hour work week) Job Type: Permanent Full Time Location: 109 Carrington road, Londonderry NSW 2753 Role purpose: We are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our operations team on a full-time basis. Fit and assemble fabricated metal parts and mechanical components to install, maintain, and repair machinery, trucks and equipment to operational standards, in accordance with technical drawings and safety requirements as per Australian standards.

Main duties:

• Fit various metal parts to fabricate machines.
• Service, diagnose and rectify our fleet.
• Read and interpret Engineering drawings, technical specifications and schematics.
• Carry out manual handling of parts, use hand-tool & special tools for precision works.
• Measure, compute and plan Engineering tasks using special software from OEM.
• Diagnose, repair, install or remove any engineering component like bearings, hydraulic system, headlights, taillights, electronic control system / sensors.
• Assemble subassemblies and other metal parts to produce equipment and machines
• Complete all tasks as per supervisor's written and verbal instructions.
• Complete work safely, ensuring all Safe

Work and environmental requirements are being met.

• Diagnose, repair and replace ignition system, diesel engine, engine cooling system.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure protective clothing is being used when required.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and measuring instruments are correctly calibrated.
• Test/charge, replace or jump start batteries.
• Tag out and notify your manager of any tools or instruments which are not working correctly.
• Ensure work areas and any issued work vehicles and machinery are kept clean and a safe environment is maintained.
• Ensure good time management is kept on all jobs and work carried out
• Update and highlight all major and repeated failures to the Workshop Manager/ Service Supervisor.

Offered salary range: AUD $75,000 - $82,000 base + Super (for a 38-hour work week) Qualification & Licences:
