Job summary

Darling Downs Health in Queensland is seeking a qualified Fitter to maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems across healthcare facilities. You will diagnose issues, deliver practical solutions and provide technical guidance for maintenance planning.

Your role supports safe, efficient operations and modern health services across our broad region, contributing to better patient outcomes and community care.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Fitter or Fitter & Turner recognised in Queensland.
• Strong experience maintaining and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and provide practical trade advice.
• Confidence using digital technology to manage work orders, estimates and maintenance records.
• Experience across diverse facilities or complex operational environments and/or machining/fabrication/maintenance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
