Job summary

Silver City Motors in Broken Hill is offering an entry-level First Year Automotive Apprentice role. You will learn hands-on by assisting qualified technicians and gaining experience in servicing, diagnostics, and maintenance in a busy workshop.

No prior experience is required; a positive attitude and genuine interest in automotive technology are essential. You’ll work toward a nationally recognised trade qualification and long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in automotive technology and a proactive attitude.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality.
• Willingness to learn and take direction in a hands-on workshop.
• Current Driver's Licence or working towards obtaining one.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with vehicle servicing and repairs.
• Learn diagnostic and maintenance procedures.
• Use workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Complete apprenticeship training and workplace learning.
• Develop skills to become a qualified Automotive Technician.
