Victoria Legal Aid seeks a First Peoples Employment Specialist to lead projects that improve recruitment, progression and retention for First Peoples staff. You will design and implement pathway programs, provide culturally safe guidance, and build partnerships across Aboriginal communities, government, and education sectors.

The role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strong communication.

Formación

• Deep knowledge of First Peoples communities in Victoria and barriers to justice and employment.
• Experience designing and evaluating organisation-wide initiatives to improve First Peoples employment and retention.
• Experience providing culturally safe advice to candidates, staff and leaders.
• Ability to lead projects and organisational change with governance and risk management.
• Strong written communication, briefs, strategies, and reports for senior leaders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead delivery and implementation of projects to support First Peoples recruitment and retention.
• Develop and implement First Peoples pathway programs and development opportunities.
• Advise on culturally safe people management practices and policy development.
• Build networks with Aboriginal community groups, government, schools and universities.
• Provide employment lifecycle support and develop toolkits and guidelines for staff.
