Job summary

BlueCare’s First Nations Personal Carer Traineeship at Shallom Elders Village, Condon, Townsville, offers a fully funded Certificate III in Individual Support while you work. Earn $34.50 per hour plus super, not-for-profit tax benefits, penalties & allowances, and employee discounts.

As a Personal Carer Trainee you’ll provide caring support to residents, with shifts from 6am–2.30pm or 2pm–10pm, Monday to Friday, while you complete the training and join a large, supportive care network.

Qualifications

• Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person is a genuine occupational requirement.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Full right to work in Australia.
• Flexibility to work shifts 6am–2:30pm and 2pm–10pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Daily living assistance including showering and personal hygiene.
• Assistance with meals and general mobility.
• Support residents according to individualized Care Plans.
• Encourage participation in community-based recreational activities.
