Job summary

Bamara is seeking a Job Mentor with a First Nations Specialist Provider under Workforce Australia to provide culturally safe, holistic, and tailored employment support to First Nations clients. You will mentor participants to identify goals, address barriers, and build the skills and confidence needed to secure and maintain sustainable work, in partnership with local employers.

The role will float between Cairns sites and requires strong cultural competency, mentoring, and case-management

• Demonstrate strong cultural competency in working with First Nations communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally safe, holistic, and tailored employment support to First Nations clients.
• Mentor participants to identify employment goals, address barriers, and build skills and confidence for sustainable work.
• Collaborate with employers and float between Cairns regional sites to support participants throughout their employment journey.
