Job summary

Bamara is seeking a Job Placement Officer to support Workforce Australia participants into sustainable employment. You will partner with Job Mentors, participants, and employers to identify opportunities, promote candidates, and drive successful placements.

Responsibilities include building employer relationships, coordinating interviews, and maintaining records, while upholding culturally respectful, inclusive service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment services, recruitment, sales, or similar people-focused environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport with participants and employers from diverse backgrounds.
• Confidence engaging with employers and promoting participants.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Solutions-focused and proactive approach.
• Strong computer and administration skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to culturally respectful and inclusive services.
• Able to obtain a standard strength myID.
• Able to pass a police check.
• Valid WWCC - Blue Card.

Responsibilities

• Identify suitable employment opportunities for participants.
• Work with Job Mentors to understand participant skills and goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers.
• Engage with employers and reverse marketing to identify opportunities.
• Promote and advocate for participants to prospective employers.
• Match participants with vacancies based on skills and goals.
• Assist participants with applications, resumes, and interviews.
• Coordinate and support interviews, job offers and commencements.
• Maintain accurate participant and employer records.
• Monitor employment outcomes and follow up with employers after placement.
• Collaborate with Workforce Australia team to achieve targets.
• Stay informed on local labour market opportunities and employer needs.
• Ensure activities comply with Workforce Australia policies.
